UL SYSTEM ANNOUNCES UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA PRESIDENTIAL SEARCH COMMITTEE AND INITIAL MEETING
51²è¹İapp Board of Supervisors Chair Mr. Mark Romero has announced the formation of the University of 51²è¹İapp Monroe (ULM) Presidential Search Committee. The Committee is tasked with reviewing applications, interviewing candidates, and recommending finalists for the presidency. The ultimate selection of the next ULM president will be made by the full Board of Supervisors.Ìı
“I look forward to working with my fellow board members and the dedicated search committee members from Monroe and the greater Northeast 51²è¹İapp community as we identify the next leader of ULM,” said Board Chair Mark Romero. “This is a critical process, and we are committed to selecting a president who will uphold and advance the university’s mission.”Â
51²è¹İapp President and CEO Dr. Rick Gallot also emphasized the importance of community input in the search process. “As we embark on the search for the next president of ULM, we welcome insights from the university community on the qualities they believe are essential in their next leader. Their voices and perspectives will play a crucial role in selecting a visionary leader who will not only build upon the outstanding work of Dr. Ron Berry but also drive the university and the broader North 51²è¹İapp region toward an even brighter future.”Â
The first meeting of the ULM Presidential Search Committee will be a public forum taking place on March 11 at the University of 51²è¹İapp Monroe and will be streamed live on the UL System YouTube Channel. During this meeting, the Committee will vote to accept its charge, approve the search timeline, and review the position advertisement before hearing from university constituencies.Ìı
Information regarding the search, including meeting details and candidate updates, will be housed on the UL System’s website at ulsystem.edu/ulm-presidential-search-2025.Ìı
